1. Nature of 3D Printed Goods
The Buyer acknowledges that 3D printing (Additive Manufacturing) is a unique process.
- Visual Standards: Items may have visible layer lines, small surface artifacts, or minor cosmetic imperfections inherent to the process. These are not considered defects.
- Tolerances: Dimensional accuracy is subject to a variance of approximately ±0.5 mm or 1%.
2. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Illinois law, the Seller (Axis3D Solutions LLC) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages arising from the use of the product.
- Assumption of Risk: The Buyer assumes all risk related to the performance and safety of the item.
- Functional Parts: 3D prints are not intended for use in high-stress, load-bearing, or life-safety applications (e.g., car parts, climbing gear, or medical devices) unless explicitly stated.
3. Safety & Usage Disclaimers
- Choking Hazard: Small 3D prints or parts that may break off are not for children under 3 years old or any individual who may place inedible objects in their mouth.
- Food Safety: Unless otherwise specified, 3D prints are NOT food-safe. Bacteria can grow in the microscopic ridges of the print, and the plastic may contain non-food-grade additives.
- Heat Sensitivity: Most 3D prints (specifically PLA) will warp or melt if left in a hot car or near a heat source (generally above 50°C / 122°F). PCTG has improved heat resistance compared to PLA.
4. Intellectual Property
The Seller warrants that they have the legal right or commercial license to produce and sell this specific design.
- If the Buyer provides a file for custom printing, the Buyer warrants they own the rights to that file and agrees to indemnify the Seller against any copyright infringement claims.
5. Returns & Refunds
- Custom Items: No returns or refunds on custom-colored or custom-designed items once production has begun.
- Defects: If an item arrives broken due to shipping or a structural print failure, the Buyer must notify the Seller within 7 days of receipt with photo evidence for a replacement or refund.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes shall be handled in the applicable jurisdiction of Illinois.
